Two°

This performance was created and performed in collaboration with environmental activist Taylor Pearon. 2 degrees is the “bottom-most bottom line of temperature increase we can have moving forward”, as globally decided upon by the 167 countries emitting 87% of the world carbon emissions. Many scientists argue, however, that this trajectory still puts us beyond the point of no return. Two° explores the contradiction of our desire to save our species, yet our inability to make drastic change in the direction that is needed to do so. It asks the question, will we ever prioritize our planet over our unsustainable society?
